Setting the best price for products hot selling products on Ebay

Hello

I just read Olga's article on how to use hot selling items on ebay for your own benefit, link to the article can be found here: /benefit-from-hot-selling-items-on-ebay

One thing I observed while reading the article was that the margin between the prices of the products on Ebay and Aliexpress was very small. Take for instance the finger animal puppet that sells for $2.85 on Ebay but goes for $2.28 on AliExpress you can see the margin is quite small just $0.57, and it doesn't make sense to double your price and sell it more than what's obtainable on Ebay. So how do you set the best price in this case?

A lot of those sellers on eBay are Chinese who are dropshipping themselves ... from 1688.com. They can afford the small margins. My own margins are much smaller than most dropshippers too. Closer to normal retail margins. In my opinion, most dropshippers are greedy ripoffs.

... on the other hand, a dropshipping store is a lot different to eBay where you have the same product being sold by dozens/hundreds of others. You have a captive audience at your site. If you make a site with value and interesting blogs/content etc and it's a specialised "niche store", you can afford to price things a bit higher than eBay. eBay is not a niche store. This is why "General stores" are a bad idea. eBay is a HUGE general store and you can't compete with them.

I suggest you get back to those blogs, because all this has been covered in them already in a few articles.

If you interested in price creating process, take a look at this online shop - http://www.lilylulufashion.com/teddy-coats/ as for me they've made a great job at keeping the price affordable, but they keep it a zone when it's as high for the customer as it could be. So they having maximum profit from any deal they making. That's why pricing is very important.
