Bryan started out in 2016, while being a college student. His only source of income was working at a golf course, that earned him shy $10 per hour. No money, no rich parents, and no extra source of income, he struggled to afford dates with his girlfriend, praying every time that his card wouldn’t decline after having a dinner.
Back then he thought that the situation he was in is completely normal and how it’s supposed to be for someone like him. Get a degree, work like a dog, and then slave your life away trying to appease the management in the hopes of a raise.
Point of no return: Social Media Marketing
One day Bryan found Tai Lopez’s social media marketing course ad, and he learned about the whole idea of making money online. After some consideration, he decided to take a leap of faith and quit his job. He recalls it not being the smartest thing to do, but there was nothing to lose.
After some time, he realized that the social media marketing business model wasn’t for him. However, the ecommerce field did prove to pay off.
His starting point was coupon arbitrage. Basically, a person uses coupons to get products for a very little price, then shipping out the product to Amazon and selling them for the initial price. This model was wildly successful, allowing Bryan to bag more than $100,000.
Bitter realizations for Bryan
Yet, all that money just flew away after paying off taxes and $30,000 of debt that Bryan spent on questionable purchases after being so deprived of money.
Bryan learned that you can never have one source of income. What happened to him is that sellers of products started to file complaints on coupon arbitrage people, which left Bryan with no business and no work. After working with Amazon, he had some understanding of it, and he tried a lot of business ideas. Sold wholesale products, launched private-label products. None of those were any good.

It’s a must not to compare ourselves with anyone. Dropshipping and business ownership don’t mean you’ll buy a Lamborghini in the first year, and it’s never a good idea to compare ourselves to a beautiful picture on the social media. It’s all catered and fake.
You gotta set the bar high and not settle for less than you think you deserve, but also be realistic and not expect momentary success you see on YouTube. Also, Bryan stresses that his success was not immediate. He tried, failed, tried all over again, until he carved his own place under the sun.
Overnight success can happen, but it’s more about luck. And even if you gain overnight success, it takes a lot to maintain it. Earning is the first step, keeping what you earned is the second (even more important).
Success has different faces. For one person it’s a supercar, for someone it’s freedom and ability to wake up whenever they want. For others it’s the ability to spend time with their kids instead of seeing them only in the evening. Don’t listen to other people’s ideas of success, but define your own.
Bryan’s story is not something uncommon. The only thing is that he’s honest, and he doesn’t promise the viewers magical success if they follow and buy his course.
